Rubens

These emphatic tours to ressurect the impression for old masters have come in for the ubiquitous criticism. What so, since I struggle to believe I am even alive, it helps to consider that even an idea with a memory from time is perpetuated and reinforced some how. So when you were 7 you read somewhere about the renaissance and you heard about the great masters, and in a week you can see their paintings; if its a conspiracy of course they would just be copies. Anyway, so i save up and go to both da vinci and rubens.

'Rubens, a Genius at Work', opens September 14 and will run through January 27, 2008; Royal Museum of Fine Arts is located near Brussels' Central Train Station in the Regentschapsstraat/Rue de la RĂ©gence 3, 1000 Brussels.

that's what is so brilliant about such browsings thru these museums of the greats... like how you put it perfectly - an idea with a memory from time is perpetuated and reinforced some how...

sometimes buzz is a bit strange; like how a city becomes a victim of its trumpeted image; and all its ppl can do is just repeat or live up to a cliche eg. the romance of paris (someone might just find it hollow, difficult and alienating)

True, but this is what gives a city an identity and a culture that can be identified with it ..sometimes stereotypes are better than cities that have changed to such an extent that the sobriquets given to them are passe. I hope your enjoyed the art exhibition .
